Demon's Souls, Dark Phantom Invasions and...

I have had a handful of Jolly Co-Operation Invasions where all of the above transpired.  Almost all end like this, sadly.  I'm sure there are some lovely people out there that do this cloaked in anonymity, but I assure you, it will never be me.  I will never fight back, as my belief in the goodness of humanity gives me hope.  It's just who I am.
Last night I had just turned human and was close to reaching the Maneater Boss Fight, and this happened.  I'm sure a Firekeeper dies somewhere every time this happens.  I know it douses the embers of my immersion in the game at that moment.  I ran. I hid. I was desperate.  I signed out after I died, and turned to Journey to lick my wounds.
Yes, I know I can disconnect, but the ghosts of players, messages, hints and virtual companionship of other players outweighs the frustration.
Tomorrow is another day of being human and facing the lessons that are the Soul's Series.  I love these games so.

The Mysterious Allure of Demon's Souls

I think this might be my favourite in the Souls series.  Anticipation is running high here at work for April 12. Also, I just ordered this book about Dark Souls.  Can't wait to receive the book, release is April 15.  Sweet!
